I See In You Today Love Poem

by Laura K.
(Mansfield, TX)

The crashing of the ocean,
The setting of the sun,
The whispering of the willow,
The way the river runs...
The way the eagle's calling,
The way the panther leaps,
The way the stars keep falling,
The way the hollow sleeps.
In the golden of the daytime,
And the ebony-hued night,
In the brooding of the darkness,
And the brilliance of the light.
The breathing of a baby,
The love a mother gives,
The sounds of laughing children,
The life a father lives.
These things are precious to the heart,
They take the breath away,
But they can never match the beauty,
I see in you today.
